UPSEE 2020 Counselling To Start From October 19 | Check Detailed Counselling Process Here

New Delhi, October 15 |  UPSEE 2020 Counselling is scheduled to start from October 19, 2020 in online mode at the official website AKTU has released the detailed schedule and UPSEE counselling procedure today, October 15  on the official website.

The qualified candidates will be able to participate in the UPSEE counselling process.

According to the schedule, UPSEE counselling Round 1 registration, payment of fee and document upload will be from October 19 to October 22. 

UPSEE 2020 counselling Round 1 document verification will be conducted from October 20 to October 24 and choice filling can be done from October 20 to October 26.

The UPSEE 2020 Counselling will be done in four rounds along with two spot rounds. 

UPSEE 2020 Examination was conducted on September 20, 2020 in online proctored mode and the Result for the same was announced today, October 15, 2020.

UPSEE 2020 Counselling – Counselling Process

The UPSEE 2020 Counselling will be done in four rounds along with two spot rounds. 

The candidates have to qualify the exam and they should also meet all the eligibility criteria mentioned by the authorities to participate in the UPSEE counselling process.

To Participate in the UPSEE 2020 Counselling Process, follow the below provided steps:

Step 1: Registration

  • The candidates will have to register for the UPSEE 2020 counselling process using their roll number, application number, father’s name and date of birth.
  • After the Registration, the candidates need to fill the required details. 

Step 2: Uploading of Documents

  • The next step is uploading the relevant documents. 
  • The candidates will have to upload all the documents specified by the authorities in a specified format within a stipulated time. 

Step 3: Fee Payment

  • The candidates have to pay the UPSEE counselling fee through online mode (net banking/credit card/debit card). 
  • Note that the counselling fee is non-refundable in nature.
  • The UPSEE Counselling Fee is Rs. 20, 000 for the General and OBC category and Rs. 12,000 for SC and ST category.

Step 4: Verification of Documents

  • In this step, the candidates will have to verify the specified documents in online mode.
  • An OTP will be provided to the candidates after the documents are verified. 
  • The OTP has to be used to log in for choice filling.

Step 5: Choice Filling and Locking

  • After the verification of documents, the candidates need to login to their account and  fill their choice of colleges and courses in order of their preference.
  • The candidates are advised to select as many as they can since this factor will be considered during allotment.

Step 6: Seat Allotment

  • The seat allotment result of UPSEE 2020 will be released in online mode.
  • Candidates will be able to check the round-wise allotment after logging in using the required credentials. 
  • Factors such as preferences selected, performance in entrance examination and availability of seat will be taken into consideration by the authorities during the seat allotment.

Step 7: Confirmation of Seat and Online Willingness

The candidates will have to confirm their allotted seat. After the allotment result, the candidates will have 3 options:

  1. Freeze: This option has to be selected if the candidate is satisfied with his/her allotted seat and wishes to confirm it.
  2. Float: If the candidate is not satisfied with his/her allotted seat and wishes to upgrade it in the next counselling round, then the “Float” option has to be selected.
  3. Withdrawal: If the candidate is not satisfied with his/her allotted seat and does not wish to participate in the further counselling rounds, then the option of “Withdrawal” has to be selected.

Step 8: Reporting to Allotted College 

  • The candidates who have freezed their seats after the allotment need to report to their respective colleges for admission process.
  • The candidates will have to confirm their admission on the date specified by the authorities, failing which, the admission of the candidate will be cancelled.


UPSEE exam is a gateway for candidates seeking admission to various professional courses offered at undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) level at all the UPSEE colleges. Through UPSEE (Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination), candidates can secure admission in about 841 institutions/colleges affiliated to AKTU along with other universities in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Around 93 colleges in Ghaziabad and 75 colleges in Gautam Budh Nagar are affiliated to AKTU.
