New Delhi, August 26 | TNEA random number 2020 has been released on August 26, 2020 by the Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) on the official website www.tneaonline.org.

Candidates can login at the website and access the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) Random number with the help of the registered email addresses and passwords.

Candidates will also receive the assigned random number through SMS on their registered mobile number

No entrance examination was conducted this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. TNEA admission is being done on the basis of marks secured by the candidate in class 12th

TNEA random number 2020 is a unique 10 digit number that is assigned to every applicant. The authorities assign this number to use in a scenario when all other rules have been followed to break a tie between two candidates. The TNEA random number is generated on the basis of a unique number generating algorithm.

In case, students have scored the same marks, the higher value TNEA random number will be given preference as against a lower valued one

2nd Step: Login using the email id and password

3rd Step: Access the TNEA random number 2020 on the next window

4th Step: Take a note of the assigned TNEA random number.

TNEA 2020 certificate verification will commence from August 27 and conclude on September 1.

After the release of TNEA random numbers 2020, candidates can verify their certificates. The department will then publish the rank list and counselling for special reservation, special category, and General category will begin online.The TNEA 2020 Rank list will be released on September 7, 2020, and the counselling will begin from September 17, 2020 through online mode, according to the sources.

TNEA Random Number 2020 – Tie-Breaking Criteria

Candidates can check the Tie-breaking criteria for TNEA 2020 below:

  • Candidates with a higher percentage of marks in Mathematics will get a higher rank.
  • Next, the Physics marks are checked and rank is allocated accordingly.
  • If the tie still prevails then on the basis of marks in the fourth optional subject, the rank is granted.
