New Delhi, October 12 | SSC Stenographer Grade C and D Examination 2020 Registration has started from October 10, 2020 for recruitment in posts of various Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations in the Government of India at the official website ssc.nic.in.
The last date to submit the application form is till 11:30 PM on November 4, 2020.

The candidates who are interested in the same or have skills in stenography can now register themselves and fill the online application form released on the official website.
The candidates need to do one time registration first and then fill the application form.
Staff Selection Commission of India (SSC) Stenographer Grade C and D Examination 2020 is scheduled to be conducted from March 29, 2021 to March 31, 2021 in an online Computer based test (CBT) mode at designated centers.
SSC Stenographer Grade C and D Examination 2020 Registration – Important Dates
The Important Dates of SSC Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ Examination 2020, is as provided below:

SSC Stenographer Grade C and D Examination 2020 Registration – Steps To Apply
The process of filling the online application for the examination consists of two parts:
I. One Time Registration
II. Filling of online Application for the Examination
Part I: One-Time Registration
To do one time registration, follow the below provided steps:
Step 1: For one-time registration, candidates need to click on ‘Register Now’ provided in the login section on the official website ssc.nic.in.
Step 2: While registering, candidates need to enter basic details, additional details & contact details and upload scanned images of photograph and signature.
Step 3: Candidates need to provide information regarding Aadhaar Number/Identity Card number.
Step 4: Candidates have to enter the name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, details of Class 10 exam, level of highest educational qualification.
Step 5: Provide a valid mobile number, email ID, address.
Step 6: When the basic details are saved, candidates are required to confirm their mobile number and email ID.
Step 7: On confirmation, registration number and password will be generated. The same will be sent to the candidate’s registered mobile number and email ID.
Step 8: Candidates need to login to fill other details like category, nationality, etc.
Step 9: Upload the scanned images of photograph and signature.
Step 10: Upon clicking ‘Final Submit’ different OTPs will be sent to candidates registered mobile numbers.
Step 11: Candidates need to enter the OTPs at the required field to complete the registration process.
Step 12: Read the declaration carefully and click the ‘I Agree’ button.
Part-II: Filling online application form
To Fill the Online Application Form, follow the below provided steps:
Step1: Candidates have to login with registration number and password.
Step 2: Click the ‘Apply’ link in ‘Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ Examination 2020’ section under the latest notifications tab.
Step 3: Candidates need to provide details of SSC Stenographer exam centres. They need to send preferences of three centres in the order of preference.
Step 4: Select the medium of test: English or Hindi.
Step 5: Candidates need to select the post.
Step 6: After entering details, candidates need to click on the ‘I Agree’ checkbox.
Step 7: Candidates need to proceed to pay the application fees.
Step 8: The application fee is Rs 100 (Women, SC, ST, PWD, Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted from fee payment). The fee can be paid using BHIM UPI, Net Banking or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit card or in cash.
Step 9: When the application is successfully submitted, it will be accepted provisionally.
Step 10: Candidates should take the printout of the application form for their own record.
SSC Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ Examination 2020 Registration – Eligibility Criteria
Some of the Eligibility Criteria to apply for SSC Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ Examination 2020 is as follows:
- The candidates must be either a Citizen of India, a subject of Nepal, a Citizen of Bhutan, Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of settling in India or Indian origin person who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
- Provided that a candidate belonging to categories II,III, IV and V in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Indian Government.
- Candidates must have completed Class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognised board or university.
- For Stenographer Grade ‘C’ posts the age limit is 18 to 30 years and for Grade ‘D’ posts, it is 18 to 27 years. The age limit will be considered as per the age on August 8, 2020. Some Relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided category wise.
