A mega recruitment drive is being conducted by the Indian Railways in three phases from December 15, 2020 onwards.
The First Phase of Computer Based Test for Ministerial and Isolated Categories is being conducted from December 15 to December 18, 2020.

RRB Recruitment 2020-21 Application Process

RRB Recruitment 2020-21 – Selection Process
RRB NTPC Exam pattern is divided into 4 stages which are:
- First stage CBT
- Second stage CBT
- Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)
- Typing Skill Test
In First stage CBT, the test consists of three sections namely – General Awareness, Mathematics and General Intelligence and Reasoning. The total marks of first stage is 100.
In Second stage CBT, the total marks is 120 and 1/3 marks will be deducted for incorrect answers.
CBAT: This stage comprises different test batteries consisting of five to six tests. There is no negative marks for this test.
Typing skill test: Candidates are given to type 30 words per minute (WPM) in English or 25 WPM in Hindi on Computer. Candidates cannot use editing tool and spell check facility.
RRB Group D
RRB Group D Exam is divided into 2 stages CBT and PET.
The CBT will be conducted in 15 languages. The exam consists of four sections which are – General Science, General Awareness and Current Affairs, Mathematics and General Intelligence and Reasoning.
The duration of the test is 90 minutes and 120 minutes will be given to PwBD candidates.
The test paper will have 100 objective type multiple-choice questions.
For every correct answer, one mark will be awarded and for every incorrect answer, 1/3 marks will be deducted.
PET is conducted for candidates qualifying the CBT. In PET, male candidates will have to lift and carry 35 kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes. They should run for a distance of 1000 meters in 2 minutes, 4 minutes and 15 seconds.
Female candidates should be able to lift and carry 20 kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes. They should be able to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 5 minutes and 40 seconds.
The RRB JE Exam will be conducted in 2 stages.
The first stage CBT of RRB JE consists of four sections. The paper will have 100 questions for a total of 100 marks. Duration of the test is 90 minutes (1 hour 30 minutes).
The second stage CBT consists of sections – General Awareness, Physics & Chemistry, Basics of Computers and Applications, Basics of Environment and Pollution Control and Technical Abilities. Total marks of the test is 150 and the duration of the test is 120 minutes (2 hours).
