New Delhi, October 16 | NEET 2020 Result has been declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA) today, i.e. on October 16, 2020 on the official website ntaneet.nic.in.

The candidates who appeared for the NEET 2020 examination and re-examination can now check their results on the official website by using their roll number, date of birth, and security pin.

NEET 2020 Result will consist of percentile score, marks scored out of 720, NEET 2020 All India Rank (AIR) and category rank. NTA has also released the category-wise cutoff scores along with the result.

The candidates who have qualified the NEET 2020 exam by obtaining the minimum qualifying percentile need to participate in the counselling process for securing admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and BVSc & AH offered in colleges of India.

The NEET 2020 examination was successfully conducted on September 13, 2020 in online CBT Mode at various centers across the Country.

NEET 2020 Result – Steps To Check

In order to check NEET 2020 Result, follow the below provided steps:

Step 1: Visit the NTA official website, ntaneet.nic.in

Step 2: Click on the “View NEET-UG 2020 Result” link provided on the screen.

Step 3: The roll number, Date of Birth, and the security pin provided on the NEET candidate login page should be entered.

Step 4: NEET 2020 result will be displayed on the screen.

Step 5: Candidates are advised to verify the details mentioned in the NEET results and take printouts for future references.

The NEET 2020 Result will bear the details such as – NEET 2020 Registration Number, NEET 2020 Roll Number, Candidate’s Name, Candidate’s Date of Birth, percentile score, marks scored out of 720, NEET 2020 All India Rank (AIR) and category rank.

NEET 2020 Result – Cut Off / Counselling

  • After the release of NEET results, NTA has also released the category-wise cutoff scores.
  • The candidates who have qualified the NEET 2020 exam by obtaining the minimum qualifying percentile will have to participate in the counselling process. 
  • On the basis of NEET 2020 rank, candidates are called for 15% all India quota MCC counselling.
  • MCC is the competent authority to conduct the centralized counselling process for the All India Quota. 
  • However, the state counselling conducting authority will conduct the counselling for 85% of state quota seats.
  • Candidates have to register themselves for NEET 2020 counselling within the stipulated time specified by respective authorities.

About NEET Examination

The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts NEET for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, Veterinary and other medical/paramedical courses in India. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is the sole entrance test for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in India. Conducted annually, NEET 2020 will be held across tentatively 154 test centres. With approximately 16 lakh test-takers, NEET is the most important medical entrance examination in India. Both AIIMS and JIPMER MBBS examinations have also been merged with NTA NEET.
