New Delhi, October 13 | National Testing Agency (NTA) has released an official notice stating that NEET 2020 Re-Exam will be conducted on October 14, 2020 for the candidates who were either COVID-19 positive or were in containment zones (as on September 13, 2020).
As per the revised SOP of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the candidates who were not able to appear for the examination due to the pandemic situation could appear for the examination on a later date to ensure safety of other candidates and the exam personnel.
NTA had approached the Supreme Court seeking the permission to conduct the NEET exam in the second part for the COVID-19 affected candidates.
The Apex Court has allowed NTA to conduct the examination for the candidates who could not appear for the examination on September 13, 2020.
The Second part of NEET 2020 examination is scheduled to be conducted on October 14, 2020 from 2 PM to 5 PM in online mode at designated centers across the Country.
NEET 2020 Examination was successfully conducted on September 13, 2020 amid the pandemic situation.
It has also been notified by the officials that the result for the First and Second Part of the examination will be released together on October 16, 2020 (Friday).
Note that the Second Part of NEET 2020 Examination will be conducted for the candidates who were either COVID-19 positive or in containment zones (as on September 13) and approached NTA and also for any such candidate who may approach the NTA, 24 hours before the commencement of the examination (with certificates from competent authority regarding their COVID-19 status or being in a containment zone at relevant time).

The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts NEET for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, Veterinary and other medical/paramedical courses in India. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is the sole entrance test for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in India. Conducted annually, NEET 2020 will be held across tentatively 154 test centres. With approximately 16 lakh test-takers, NEET is the most important medical entrance examination in India. Both AIIMS and JIPMER MBBS examinations have also been merged with NTA NEET.
