New Delhi, October 28 | NEET 2020 Counselling Round 1 to start today i.e October 28 for NEET 15% AIQ/DEEMED/CENTRAL UNIVERSITIES/AIIMS & JIPMER/ ESIC & AFMC (MBBS/BDS) SEATS. The counselling registration process was to start yesterday but was postponed due to technical issues.
NEET 2020 Counselling registration process is going to start on October 28 and the last date to register is November 2. The choice filling and locking process will start simultaneously and ends on November 2.
The processing of application will take place on November 3 and 4 and the seat allotment result for Round 1 NEET 2020 counselling will be released on November 5.
The candidates who have been allotted seats in the first round of NEET counselling will have to report between November 6 to 12 to confirm the seats.
The counselling of NEET 2020 will be conducted online and the candidates who wish to participate in this process will have to register on the official website of MCC.
Around 235 medical colleges will participate in the counselling process of NEET 2020. NEET 2020 counselling will be conducted in 3 Rounds including a mop-up round. The mop-up round of counselling will be conducted only for Deemed/Central University and ESIC College admit-cards.
The remaining 85% seats for all UG medical and dental courses will be filled by the respective states. Each state government will conduct the counselling process for the respective state separately.
NEET 2020 Counselling Round 1 – Revised Schedule
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) was formed by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. The committee is responsible for admissions to undergraduate/postgraduate medical courses, undergraduate/postgraduate dental courses and super-speciality medical courses.
Admission to the MBBS/BDS seats which fall under the all India quota/institutional quota/domicile (internal candidates) of Central Universities (Aligarh Muslim University/Banaras Hindu University/University of Delhi/Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi), Employee State Insurance Corporation and Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, will be through the undergraduate counselling of MCC.
This year onwards, admission to AIIMS, JIPMER and PGIMER will also be through the MCC NEET counselling.
