JEE Advanced 2020 Registration Ends Today at 5 pm. Know How to Apply

JEE Advanced 2020 Registration: Today September 17, 2020 is the last day for registration to JEE Advanced 2020 Exam. Candidates who had cleared the cutoff in JEE Mains 2020 are eligible to appear in the exam. Eligible candidates can fill the form for JEE Advanced 2020 by visiting the site Advanced 2020 registration link has been activated by the organizing body for JEE Advanced 2020 on the official website at

The registration link was made active on September 12, 2020 and will be accepting registrations till 5 pm today (September 17, 2020)

The top 2,50,000 candidates who qualify in JEE Main 2020 are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2020.

JEE Advanced 2020 Registration Process

The procedure to register for JEE Advanced 2020 consists of four steps:

Step 1: Open the official website and login with your credentials. After login, provide the basic data and the choices of the cities for the examination The candidate will have the option of adding an additional mobile phone number and an additional email id, in addition to the number(s) provided during JEE Main 2020 registration.

Step 2: Upload the scanned copies of all requisite documents.

Step 3: Pay the registration fee. The registration fee is neither refundable nor transferable. Last date to pay the fee is September 18 for candidates who have completed step 2

Step 4: After paying the JEE Advanced 2020 application fee successfully, aspirants will have to submit the application form finally and take a printout of the confirmation page and keep it safe for future use.

JEE Advanced 2020 – Schedule

The examination consists of two papers (Paper 1 and Paper 2) of three hours duration each. Both the papers are compulsory. The examination will be held as per the following schedule:

The JEE Advanced 2020 exam will be held on September 27, 2020. The first paper will be held from 9 AM to 12 PM while the second paper will be conducted between 2:30 PM and 5:50 PM. It is to be noted by the students that the schedule will remain the same even if September 27, 2020, is declared a public holiday.

All PwD candidates are eligible for one hour compensatory time, i.e., the end time will be 1 PM for Paper 1 and 6:30 PM for Paper 2.

About JEE Advanced

JEE Advanced is conducted every year by one of the seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) namely IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, and IIT Roorkee or Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore under the aegis of the Joint Admission Board (JAB). 

Admissions to Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s and Dual Degree programmes (entry at the 10+2 level) in all the 23 IITs, including the Indian School of Mines (ISM) are done based on ranks obtained by candidates in JEE Advanced. 

Through JEE Advanced, candidates can secure admissions to the following courses:

  • 4-year Bachelors – BTech, BS
  • 5-year BArch
  • 5-year Dual Degree – BTech, MTech, BS, MS
  • 5-year Integrated Masters – MTech, MSc, Dual Degree
