New Delhi, December 8 | IIM CAT 2020 Answer Key has been released today, December 8, 2020 by the authorities at the official website iimcat.ac.in.
The candidates who have appeared for the IIM CAT 2020 Examination can now check the Answer Key on the official website by using their CAT login id and password and calculate their probable score in the exams before the announcement of results.
The candidates are also allowed to challenge the Answer Key if any discrepancy is found, from 10 AM on December 8 to 5 PM on December 11, 2020.
The Authorities have also released the Candidates’ Response Sheets and question paper along with the Answer Key 2020.
The IIM CAT 2020 Examination was conducted on November 29, 2020 in three shifts – from 8:30 am to 10:30 am, from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm, and from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm in online mode at various centers across the Country.
IIM CAT 2020 Answer Key – Steps To Download
To download IIM CAT 2020 Answer Key, follow the below provided steps:
Step 1: Visit the official website of CAT iimcat.ac.in
Step 2: Click on the ‘login’ tab
Step 3: Enter CAT login ID and password
Step 4: CAT 2020 answer key will appear on the screen
Step 5: Take a printout of the CAT answer key and CAT response sheet for future reference.
The candidates can calculate their probable scores by referring to the official marking scheme.
For each correct answer +3 marks will be awarded and -1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. There will be No negative marking for Non-MCQs.
The candidates will have the provision to challenge the answer key, in case they come across any incorrect key.
They will have to raise their challenges till 5 PM on December 11, 2020.
IIM CAT 2020 Answer Key – Discrepancies
- If a candidate wants to challenge the CAT 2020 answer key, they can do so by filling the CAT answer key objection form.
- The candidates can fill the objection form by using their CAT login ID and password.
- Objection fee of Rs 1,000 per question will be charged and the fee should be paid online.
- If the objection is found to be genuine, the official answer will be revised.
- The objection fee will be refunded to candidates whose objections are found to be genuine.

Common Admission Test or CAT exam is a common aptitude test which is a gateway to 20 IIMs and over 1,200 B-schools in India. CAT is conducted in online mode in over 156 cities. The exam comprises 100 MCQs & non-MCQs from Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR) and Quantitative Ability (QA). The official website of CAT 2020 (iimcat.ac.in) went live on July 29 with all the information related to the entrance exam and IIM admission process. The registration window was open from August 5 till September 23. Over two lakh candidates appear in CAT exam every year. For CAT 2020, about 2.3 lakh applications were received, a fall of about 10,000 from last year. In 2019, the number of candidates who registered for the exam was 2.4 lakh.
