New Delhi, October 28 | IIM CAT 2020 Admit Card has been released today, October 28, 2020 at the official website iimcat.ac.in.

The Candidates who have filled the Application Form successfully between August 5 and September 23, 2020 for CAT Examination 2020 can now download their admit cards from the Official Website by entering the registered CAT login id and password.

The IIM CAT 2020 Admit Card is an important document and is a mandatory document for appearing in the Examination. The Candidates will also need to take a valid Identity Proof to the Examination Center on the day of the Examination along with the Admit Card, failing which the candidate will not be allowed to enter the examination center.

The IIM CAT 2020 Examination is scheduled to be conducted on November 29, 2020 in online mode at various centers across the Country.

IIM CAT 2020 Admit Card – Steps To Download

To Download IIM CAT 2020 Admit Card, follow the below provided steps:

Step 1: Click on the official website of CAT iimcat.ac.in

Step 2: Enter your user ID and password under ‘registered candidate login’

Step 3: The complete form and information related to candidate details of CAT will be displayed on the screen

Step 4: Click on download admit card tab

Step 5: Check all details mentioned on the admit card and take its print out

The complete exam day guidelines have also been released along with the Admit Card.

In case there is any discrepancy in the Admit Card, the candidates are advised to contact the authorities immediately to get it corrected.

IIM CAT 2020 Admit Card – Examination Pattern

CAT is a computer based exam of three hour duration, containing 100 questions divided in three sections -verbal ability and reading comprehension, data interpretation and logical reasoning and quantitative aptitude 

The questions will be objective in nature and for each correct answer +3 marks will be awarded and -1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. 

There will be No negative marking for Non-MCQs. 


Common Admission Test or CAT exam is an aptitude test which is a gateway to 20 IIMs and over 1,200 B-schools in India. CAT is conducted in online mode in over 156 cities. The exam comprises 100 MCQs & non-MCQs from Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR) and Quantitative Ability (QA). The official website of CAT 2020 (iimcat.ac.in) went live on July 29 with all the information related to the entrance exam and IIM admission process. The registration window was open from August 5 till September 23. Over two lakh candidates appear in CAT exam every year. For CAT 2020, about 2.3 lakh applications were received, a fall of about 10,000 from last year. In 2019, the number of candidates who registered for the exam was 2.4 lakh.
