New Delhi, August 28 |CLAT 2020 rescheduled to September 28 in view of the lockdown status in various states in the country. The consortium of NLUs met on August 27 to review the situation for CLAT 2020 and decided to reschedule the exam on September 28, 2020.
The exam will be conducted in online mode in the designated exam centres, the details of the exam centres will be available in the admit card of the candidate.
Earlier, on August 10, Consortium of NLUs had postponed CLAT 2020 which was scheduled to be conducted on August 22, and had declared September 7 as the date for CLAT 2020.
CLAT 2020 Exam Dates – Pattern of Exam
Students appearing for CLAT UG will have to answer 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) in 120 minutes (2 hours) where the total marks will be 150. Students appearing for CLAT PG to get admission in LLM (Masters of Law) program will have to answer 120 MCQs in 120 minutes where the total marks will be 120.
The question paper for CLAT is divided into Five parts viz. English, Current Affairs and General Knowledge, Elementary Mathematics (Numeral ability), Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning. For every correct answer, 1 mark will be awarded and for every wrong answer, 0.25 mark will be deducted.
The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national level entrance exam for admissions in Under-Graduate (UG) and Post-Graduate (PG) Law courses offered at 22 NLUs and other colleges/universities based on its exam score.
For the academic session 2020-21, there are 21 NLUs participating in CLAT.
