CAT 2020 Registration| Online registration for the common admission test (CAT) 2020 has been extended till September 23, 2020. Registration for CAT 2020 had started on August 5, 2020 and was scheduled to end on September 16, 2020. However, the organisation body has decided to extend the deadline for registration till 5 pm of September 23, 2020. Admit card for the registered candidates will be released on October 28, 2020. The application form for CAT 2020 is available on the official website at iimcat.ac.in.
CAT 2020 will be held on November 29, 2020 in three sessions. This has been done to ensure proper implementation of social distancing norms to safeguard students from the COVID pandemic
CAT 2020: Changes in Exam Pattern
Apart from the changes in registration schedule the IIMs have also decided to change in the exam pattern CAT 2020 will now be only of 120 minutes. There will be three sections:
Section I: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension
Section II: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning
Section III: Quantitative Ability
Candidates will be allotted exactly 40 minutes for answering questions in each section and they will not be allowed to switch from one section to another while answering questions in a section.

CAT 2020 – How to Register?
The registration process for CAT 2020 is completely online. Candidates need to follow the following steps to register for the exam
- Register on the official website and generate user id and password
- Login using the generated user ID and password and fill in the CAT 2020 application form
- Upload necessary documents including photograph and signature
- Make payment of CAT 2020 Fee

Candidates must note that the fee is not refundable under any circumstances. Candidate needs to pay the registration fee only once, irrespective of the number of institutes he/she is applying for. The candidates from SC, ST and PwD must upload a copy of their SC/ST/PwD certificates at the time of registration.
CAT 2020 Registration – Eligibility
The students applying for CAT 2020 must be a graduate from a recognised university or institute with minimum 50% marks. The students in the final year of graduation are also eligible for application ,while there is no upper limit of age for application. (For relaxations for reserved category-click)
CAT is a computer based exam of two hour duration, divided in three sections -verbal ability and reading comprehension, data interpretation and logical reasoning and quantitative aptitude (for previous year papers and mock papers click). The results for the test are expected in January 2021.
